Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for your incredible support. I’ve been seeing many of you increase your pledges, helping push the campaign closer to (and toward) the goal. I truly appreciate the extra support. It means a lot and makes a real difference.
I also wanted to share a quick update regarding Spiel 2026. For various reasons, I just decided not to attend Spiel this year, so the Spiel Pickup pledge has been closed. That said, all existing Spiel pickup pledges will absolutely be honored. You’ll have the option to pick up your pledge at a friend’s booth or have it shipped to you at no additional cost.
On another note, we’ve added a new $1 pledge for a single Companion Game (PNP edition). This allows you to choose your favorite Companion Game in the pledge manager, while still having the option to add the others as add-ons.
Finally, I’ll be attending WonderCon this weekend. If you happen to be there, feel free to stop by and say hello. I’d love to meet you in person!

🐾 85% Funded — We’re Almost There!

Hi everyone,
We’re excited to share that we’re now 85% funded! Thank you so much for your incredible support! We’re getting very close, and with a little more momentum, we’ll cross the finish line together.
It’s been amazing to see the Clowder grow on Day 1. Every pledge, share, and kind word truly makes a difference, and we’re so grateful to have you with us on this journey.
We also have a great update on the Clowder Companion Games. So far, we’ve reached 82 pledges toward the Companion Games PNP add-ons. That’s already over a quarter of the way to unlocking the print editions at 300 pledges. Thank you for supporting these small, creative games and the designers behind them.
From the Designer of Cat Tree
Today, we’d love to spotlight one of those designers — Nathan Long, creator of Cat Tree. Here’s a message from Nathan:
Hi, all. I’m Nathan Long, maker of Cat Tree. I have always loved board games, even back in my youth when most of them weren’t very good. Seriously, when I was a kid in the 60s (yes, I’m old) we had Monopoly, Sorry, Mousetrap, and Risk, and that was pretty much it.
A little later on I discovered Avalon Hill games, like Kingmaker and Acquire, and liked them much better, then D&D and Diplomacy and Cosmic Encounter in high school and college, which totally got me hooked.
There have times in my life when I haven’t played games at all, but I always come back to the hobby eventually, and during covid, my wife and I really got into it (obsessed even) and I started thinking about making games as well as playing them.
My first attempts were big and complicated table hogs, but as I grew as a designer, I got more interested in smaller, simpler games, that were easier to teach and easier to play, and Cat Tree is probably my smallest and simplest game yet. (Maybe I should have started small to begin with!)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy Cat Tree, and Ta-Te’s wonderful Cat Tokens! Good luck climbing the tree!
